No, in one case you have someone tricking others into doing a chore. In the other case, you have volunteers who are doing something for the benefit of the community because they understand that a community benefit also benefits the volunteer. Just because someone isn't behaving selfishly doesn't mean that they are suckers. It would be a pretty crappy world if we all followed your proposed behavior.

Waiting a hundred years for publication has the added benefit that the copyright will now last sooo very much longer than it did back then! I can't wait to read it! Might even be better than Heinlein's "Grumbles from the Grave"!
