Y'know as a former Torontonian (who lived there through the creation of the team) I have to say I still hate the name "Raptors". WTF does it have to do with our city??! Nothing. It was created at a time when Jurassic Park was a popular movie and the team's original owners thought that popularity would be a great base for their franchise. To this day I own none of their merch. and will not cheer this team. Had they called them the Toronto Hogs I would probably be a rabid fan with hundreds of dollars worth of merch in my closet....
