mouseover to find either orbs or magical items. You'll get a "glint" when you have a successful mouseover. Then click on item to add to your inventory. Goto options to move between rooms. Read journal entries for hints about where to find some items.
Warning: only chapter one is written. :(

Yeah, I had figured out that much, but searched all the rooms and only found two of those glints. It is pretty boring just waving the mouse over every hard to see nook and cranny in these very dark rooms.
