There are reasons to dislike Palin as a candidate for political office that have nothing to do with her gender or her looks or even her political point of view.
She comes off as folksy and as a common person rather than a polished political pro, and that is her strength. The weakness is the the flip side of that, she comes across as under-educated, under-informed, shallow with nothing but trite slogans as solutions for complex policy issues, and as something of an off-the-mainstream radical in a few areas, such as Second Revolution or Secession. It sort of depends on what she means by those things, but that is the problem with Sarah, she never seems to get into specifics. It is just the headlines with her.
That said, I have no problem at all with her as a commentator on FOX NEWS at all, as long as she isn't a member of the media and running for elected office at the same time. I like her a lot better as a hockey mom with a point of view than as a candidate for high office. People with higher SAT scores should be selected for that.
SAT score makes a person useful? Then why has Obama been such a terrible leader, since he is just a fancy professor that someone got into politics. He "IS" the smartest person to become president without a IQ score....
Obama is a terrible leader only if you judge him by how well he is adhering to conservative principles.
Some of those principles got us into the worst economic crisis since 1929, so please don't forget that. Some of us want a different direction and so far most of the economic indicators are rebounding, so what is wrong with that?
and the left's principles caused the crisis to last nine years long then it should have. They are not true indicators of a recovery, since people had to restock their shelves after not buying much in a while.
Some have said that Palin was so clever for the handwriting that it exposed the difference between her and Obama .. I think it is just her style .. maybe not - people have been using little 3x5 cue cards for decades - whatever. As Gramps said ... get on with your life,
The interesting thing I thought about this article was that indeed the sexual innuendos that were made. Bad attempts at being clever and certainly not PC. Of course the same thing was done with teabaggers .. those people are so clever in their own mind.
I remember some talking head on TV during the 2008 elections saying America would elect a Black man to be president before they would elect a woman because America is more sexist than racist. This comment has stuck in my head and I will think of it time to time. Considering that blacks got the right to vote before women is just a bad mark against Americans ... of course any discrimination is bad and is a human frailty and not just American for sure.
Sorry I'll rather watch her on the stage, than mr "bean" BO.
