A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned -- this is the sum of good government. - Thomas Jefferson
She kinda forgets that several Republican policies, most notably deregulation, led to several major one-time expenditures.
Oh, you Democrats are such hypocrites!
Here are the Obama deficits, go ahead and lie all you want, the deficits are still there:

Nobody says they aren't, only that the previous occupants set up the situation.
Congress IS comprised of dems and repubs .. both are to blame.
But all those years, only Clinton went to the mat over budget issues. Remember when he vetoed a spending bill and shut down the government for a week? The President is perfectly capable of blocking any spending he wants.

So the levels of publicly-held debt increased by $2.4 trillion during the Bush years, six times as much as Bachmann alleged. During the Obama Administration, which has included a lot of spending on the stimulus, bailouts, and two foreign wars, and less revenue coming from a bad economy, the number has so far gone up by $1.7 trillion -- obviously less than all previous presidents combined.
Okay, so, $2.4 trillion over eight years. Lets see, with a little math, that averages to roughly $300 billion per year. Compare that to Obama's $1.7 trillion in the first year. That is roughly 5.67 times as much in one year. That is still pretty horrific. The government vastly needs to be reined back on their spending across everything. Social spending, military spending, pork, it all needs cut. We need to toss Obama, Pelosi, Bachmann, and all the other Congressmen out of office and clean up this mess.
