But here's what those bad few months can't change: Decades of study by scientists around the world has reached the conclusion that the Earth is warming and that humankind is probably responsible. The past decade was the warmest on record. Among the anticipated effects of climate change are increased precipitation not just rain, but also snow and bigger storms. What we've seen this winter tends to prove, not disprove, the scientific consensus that warming is real.

FTW!!

Sure, I'll buy that.

...and that humankind is probably responsible.

But there is where the mistake was made. There has been zero causative studies which prove the warming on the planet was caused by humankind. I'm willing to admit there is definitely some contribution (everything on the planet affects the environment to some degree), but there is no evidence to claim the earth would not be warming if not for humankind.

So say we are in a warming trend and also global warming pattern. *shrugs* what will you do when it to late? Sit around and say, wow evil Al Gore? Fact is all you people who say mankind may or may not play a role in global warming come with nothing else. No ideas etc, just rhetoric.

Instead of asking for proof we are a part of global warming, why dont you try asking for proof that we are not a part of it. Because i would much rather take that gamble. But just like other threads, no one has anything to prove.

We are in a warming trend and global warming pattern.

what will you do when it to late? Sit around and say, wow evil Al Gore?

Too late for what? We don't know what the result of this global warming pattern will result in. If history is any indication, we'll cycle through a warmer period and the drop into a cooling one, same as we have done over the billions of years previously. If you get any evidence to indicate something else, I'll listen. I won't, however, agree to implement random policies against people or corporations (especially ones the politicians pushing for the changes don't already themselves follow).

Fact is all you people who say mankind may or may not play a role in global warming come with nothing else. No ideas etc, just rhetoric.

You want an idea? How about the one I've been pushing for? You know, causative studies about what is affecting the environment. Simulations about what impacts the proposed changes will have on the environment. Lets inject a little actual science into the solution.

Instead of asking for proof we are a part of global warming...

I didn't ask for proof that we aren't a part of global warming. In fact, I said I agree with the statement that there is data supporting a global warming trend. Did you not even read my response?

...why dont you try asking for proof that we are not a part of it.

Because I know that is a useless line of inquiry, given that we know we do have some impact. The appropriate scientific question to ask is how much of an impact are we having, along with figuring out what percentage as a whole that impact is. If the sum total of human impact on the environment is statistically significant, then we start recursive studies to prove which portions of our society is causing problems. Is it car pollution? Factory pollution? Are we tearing down too many forests? Once we know the biggest factors, we address those first until we get to the point that impact is statistically insignificant (it is scientifically impossible to reduce it to zero with committing mass suicide).

So, what you just said is that there has always been warming trends and global warming and man has always been a factor in it but everythings ok completly ignoring industrialization... As if joe the ranchers campfire in 1780 did the same. Yeah...

"You want an idea? How about the one I've been pushing for? You know, causative studies about what is affecting the environment. Simulations about what impacts the proposed changes will have on the environment. Lets inject a little actual science into the solution."

Guess what, scientists have been going over this and studying it for years. People who trained, studied & went to very expensive prestigous schools for this type of science.. Yet, you are apparently still smarter then all of them. So, i wouldnt say that would make a big impact on things. Other then wasting more time.

"Did you not even read my response?"

That i did, and i even bothered to read "between the lines"

And for the last part, again its been studied to death.. Right now we simply dont have the tech or the time for the type of answers you want. You willing to let it get way worse while you wait around doing the same thing thats been done?

I am not completely ignoring industrialization, I am saying lets find out the full extent of its impact. Why are you so resistant to that? You also completely ignored my question. Too late for what? Why do I keep having to ask you the same question over and over again?

I never claimed I was smarter than the people involved in the climate study, so you are now outright lying. Additionally, if they have been performing causative studies, where are they? I haven't been able to find any of them. The environmentalists, the Democrats, Al Gore, all of the individuals involved have not been talking about them. The media has not been talking about them. Where are they?

That i did, and i even bothered to read "between the lines"

What is "between the lines" about "Sure, I'll buy that."? I'm agreeing with you. There's no hidden agenda there.

And for the last part, again its been studied to death.. Right now we simply dont have the tech or the time for the type of answers you want. You willing to let it get way worse while you wait around doing the same thing thats been done?

Again, where are those supposed causative studies? We have the tech to do them. You claim we don't have the time, but you have no studies to support your claims. Even if we cut off all industrialization in the world, you don't even know if that will save you from whatever it is you are afraid of. That's what science is for.

Hey, Dummy: Climate Change Is Real

Yes, that is the way to convince people who don't believe in climate change - insult them.

Global Warming Alarmists have been lying to us for decades. They have now admitted it. It's a bunch of crap dreamed up by algore in order to enrich himself. gore is positioned to be the first global warming BILLIONAIRE if he can convince enough nations to start taxing CO2.

Global Warming is not a science. It is not falsifiable. If both warm and cold weather prove global warming then the theory cannot be proved wrong and is thus meaningless. I know the global warmists on this board will not understand that point, but that's because you don't know crap about science.

Give it up. The consensus is gone, and that was your only argument.

Global Warming is dead, the alarmists just don't know it yet. Forget about it, it's over. Eventually, the alarmists will catch on.

It has nothing to do with warm or cold weather and I have no problem saying you all are dummies.
