Either way we will continue to spend, doesnt matter who wins.. It can be John Doe no party but we have a huge nation with many, many obligations that can not just be dropped till a more convenient time. We have responsibilities to our neighbors and brothers.. We must help the sick, poor and weak. Those who think otherwise are no better then all those other nations some point fingers at and call cruel, uncivilised, barberic, heathens etc.
With just a quick look at politics today, it easy to see how we slaughtered so many in history (like the Native Americans) and just how people "supported" it. Iraq a good example.. They didnt want us helping to start with, all those people saying "pull out" and "stop helping" where the first to claim they would be in it till the end when conning everyone into the war. They where the first to call others unpatriotic and terrorist supporters when people asked how they would pay for the war.. Now they want to quit, like a kid in school who took on to big a car payment *shrugs*
Anyway, we have a duty to finish the things we started in other nations and at home, not to just drop those depending and counting on us. Its wonderful to say dont spend, but its a pipe dream. We can get spending in check, but really that is far from the fix of things.
I can agree with the two party system having issues.. But it doesnt matter when 3rd party is nothing but Repubs who couldnt run on their own ticket. I rarley see any true outside the box candidates.. Just people who are known as "Republican Senator" unless we have an election then they are known as "3rd party candidaite the GOP wouldnt get behind
Exactly the attitude I'm talking about. We can't stop spending...woe is us.
You say there is no alternative because you don't want an alternative. The major parties are masters at throwing up red herring issues for the party faithful on either side to fight over while they screw us.
Keep voting for major parties that systematically steal your rights, money, and dignity. You deserve to get exactly what you vote for.
Lets see how long you can run your own house without spending! Wouldn't be too long before you were reduced to a wood fired stove and plowing the north forty, if you had a north forty! This is the 21st Century, you can live in it by 18th Century rules!
That's ridiculous. There are thousands of reasonable spending cuts that can be made without sending us back to the 18th century.
I was talking about you personally not spending anything for the foreseeable future, not the country! I was saying the YOU would end up in the 18th Century quick! Though it might be that in your own mind you are the country!

Once again, the whining goes on about ending tax cuts with no mention or even a thought about the slightest budget cut.
The only difference between the two parties is that the dems want to raise taxes and spend, while the GOP wants to borrow the money and spend. Either way we will continue to dig the hole deeper and deeper.
