It is really too bad that congress did not endorse Ron Paul's bill to truly audit the Fed last year (and the year before and the year before ...). Alas it was scuttled by Wall Street, bankers and those that don't want the American public how their money is being spent. This audit was a one time 'glimpse' into the books.

Imagine if we could audit all the federal programs .. make the accountable, at least be able to tell where the money went - what a concept.
