Uhhh you DO realize they killed the guy for not being Islamic ENOUGH, yes? They killed him for believing that Mohamed was not the final prophet, which any variation in belief simply isn't tolerated by Islamists.
Sadly the USA WILL end up like the UK, where there are whole neighborhoods where one can't even walk down the street exercising their rights because they are not following the Hadiths. they are called "Sharia Ghettos" and are what you get from Islamists. NO integration, NO accepting other beliefs are allowed, if you are not one of them you are apostate or Dhimmi.
Sadly to see what such beliefs get you one only has to look back to the Empire of the Rising sun. they too also believed they had divine mandate to rule over the lesser races and sadly it took the lives of millions to ensure that we still had the right to live as we chose. I wonder, is that what it is gonna take again?

Every society has elements within it that want to live under very restrictive laws that govern women's reproductive systems, limit free speech to only wholesome uplifting messages, and impose their narrow religious fanaticism on everyone who is unlucky enough to be under their thumb.
In the Muslim world, these people are the radical Islamist, bin Laden types. In the US, we call them the Tea Party.
In any case, the popularity of these movements is limited to a small percentage of fanatics and those they can dupe into supporting them for one reason or another.
The majority of people anywhere would prefer that these folks just go away and not bother them. They aren't very popular with average people who just want to be left alone.
