The problem is that if the GOP is wrong and Global Warming is real then lots of people are going to end up dead. The major of them in America will be Republicans. If the scientists are wrong we end up with clean air and we have freed ourselves from Arab oil. As for the cry that it will be too expensive to stop burning coal and oil, have you seen the price of gas lately.
