It is interesting that the graph shows all federal taxes, not just income tax. I wonder how different the graph would look if you used just income taxes.
Some taxes are related to how much a person spends and I suspect that high income people tend to spend more dollars than lower income people. That could skew the results.
I notice that most of these 'fact check' pieces that are intended to 'correct' the 'false' tax situation tend to contain language about how much Obama might raise their taxes or simply the words 'Obama' and 'raising taxes'.
This is disinformation all by itself since it is a fact that to date Obama has only cut taxes, he hasn't raised them. I have yet to hear one conservative critic even acknowledge that fact. They only talk about how much Obama is raising taxes, not about how much he as cut them.
The raising is all hypothetical in the future, while the cuts have all been a real part of actual history.
What's the problem, conservatives, can't bring yourself to say 'Obama' and 'tax cuts' in the same sentence?
I read the article again and there was only one mention of Obama in it - elimiate loopholes .. who's going to giure that one out .. Turbo Tax TImmy or Rangle
.. most of the article contained numbers, just the facts mam - disproving the crap that libs are saying about the rich and taxes. Why I would be fine if the folks making $10 million or more their taxes were raised.. but the fact of the matter is that the libs are throwing the millionaire term around and then start talking about people who make over $200K and lumping them together ... can you explain that, how does 200,00 become 1,000,000?
What's the problem ..libs can't bring themselves to say that you're a millionaire if you make over $200K - screw the middle class even more .. fuzzy math and numbers by politicians and pundits Phppt!
I mean those are real numbers not made up numbers ... you could go back to the 50's when the tax rates were higher if you wanted. The thing that chaps my hide is the $200K number
Obama and his fundraisng dinners this weekend - flying on Air Force 1 - getting $38,500 a plate dinners .. hey if you can afford that ... then perhaps you could write a check to the IRS at the end of the year for a few extra $100K .. yeah like that'll happen.
Just wait Mr. Big T, till Mr. Gramp's finds his official federal family IRS graph showing that poor people pay more taxes than rich people.
All I know is that hedge fund managers make an average of $1 billion a year and their tax rate is set at 15%. As the rich capture a grater and greater percent of the national income there will be less and less money available to drive the economy and it will shrink. This process will accellerate until we are a third world country.

More soaking for the upper middle class ....
Does it not strike you as odd that this "anomaly" in progressivity is used to justify increasing taxes on everyone making more than $200K per year? If the top 8,274 taxpayers are the ones who bother you, why are you raising taxes on the top three million taxpayers, a good several hundred thousand of whom already pay a higher rate than those 8,274?
