I think his point is that since it happens in Canada, albeit at about 1/100th the rate it does here, that it means their system is just as bad.

Your answer tends to give credibility to the falsehood that what is being proposed in the US as healthcare reform resembles the present Canadian healthcare system, which is does not.
Any time one of these shills, steamed for example, brings up a comparison with Canada or Great Britain, they are just begging you to fall into the trap.
The proposed healthcare reform in the US is nothing like the Canadian system or the one in the UK. Don't get suckered into making it look as if it was.
This is a 'debate' in the same sense that asking someone whether they have stopped beating their wife is a debate.
