There was a follow up to this story, which is weird even by Florida standards. Turns out that the shooter cop is a guy who was shooting at a female cop, who is his ex. He is now up on charges that display a stereotype come to life about cops being lousy shots. He emptied the gun at her and, according to the police report, begged other cops for more ammo. Missed her every time.
